Transportation

transportationHundreds of miles are driven daily across our vast state to get milk from rural dairy farms to the tables of Texans, an estimated 86% of whom live in urban areas.

Reliable, efficient and safe roads and bridges are needed to both deliver our perishable products across the state in a timely manner and to receive supplies needed to keep our farms operating.

The state’s transportation network is just as important to dairy farmers as it is to metropolitan commuters faced with rush hour traffic jams.

The Texas Association of Dairymen supports transportation policies and spending that will help keep our state a global leader in agriculture, enhance our state’s rural areas and ensure safe market roads and bridges.
