Support Texas Tech University Dairy Barn renovation

The Texas Association of Dairymen is pleased that Texas Tech University and its College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources have recognized the contributions of the dairy industry – past and present – by committing to renovate the historic Dairy Barn located on the heart of its campus.

Constructed in 1926, the Dairy Barn is one of the oldest structures on campus. Over the years, it has survived a fire, abandonment followed by years of neglect, and threats of demolition. But the barn is woven into the fabric of Texas Tech. With its prime location, the renovated Dairy Barn provides an ideal opportunity to educate students, alumni and guests about our industry.

Both permanent and interchangeable exhibits planned for the Dairy Barn will reflect the history and importance of the dairy industry and College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources to Texas Tech University, the region and the state. Learn more about the planned renovation.

Dairy farmers are invited to join TAD and be part of the renovation by making an investment in the Dairy Barn Renovation Fund. For a gift of just $1,000, a contributing dairy’s name will be part of a permanent Texas dairy wall of honor exhibit that lists individual dairy farms and spotlights them as an important part of our state’s dairy heritage.

To be included in the exhibit, please print and return this contribution form and a $1,000 check made payable to the Texas Association of Dairymen. The form and check should be sent to TAD at P.O. Box 13182, Austin, TX 78711.

TAD will gather and submit the forms and donations to Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, earmarked for the Dairy Barn renovation. TAD will send each donor an individual tax receipt.

TAD’s goal is to have as many dairy farms recognized as possible. We hope you will agree with us that the Dairy Barn renovation is significant for our industry and join TAD in its support for this project.
